MAMBEC Summer Camp 2021 – REVIEW

 

Week 1 – July 5th – July 9th

LEGO

The theme for this week was Lego. We built Lego Challenges each day with a different theme (such as making ourselves out of Lego) and gave out prizes for the best creations. In Martial Arts we started learning the basics of body mechanics and movement. Lessons focused on Respect and its value in the world. Other activities included Nature Walks, and Martial Arts Games.

Week 2 – July 12th – 16th

Young Detectives and the Mystery of Apartment 13

The theme for this week was Young Detectives and the Mystery of Apartment 13! We learned about Investigation procedures, finger printing and more! In Martial Arts we began learning our Katas and started our basic kicks and punches. Lessons focused on Self Discipline and how it can help you achieve your goals and dreams. Other activities included Martial Arts Games, Obstacle Courses and Prize Games (such as spin the wheel). 

Week 3 – July 19th – 23th

MAMBEC Olympics

We learned the history of the Olympics and held our own event with groups representing different countries and competing in various sports activities. In Martial Arts we began learned more of our Katas and started our Front Push Kicks. Lessons focused on Achievement and strategies and skills need to be successful. Other activities included Martial Arts Games, Crafts and Prize Games (such as bean bag toss).

 

Week 4 – July 26th – 30th

MAMBEC TikTok Idol

We practiced our talents and then put them on display for the rest of the camp to see. In Martial Arts we learned more of our Katas and further developed our scissor kicks. Lessons focused on Second Chances and how they are a gift to help us learn. Other activities included Martial Arts Games, Crafts and Prize Games (such as Sensei Says).

Week 5 – Aug 3rd – 6th

MAMBEC Time Capsule

We learned about family history and what we can learn from our past. In Martial Arts we learned more of our Katas and further developed our Back Break Falls and added Kick and Spin. Lessons continued on Second Chances and how they are a gift to help us learn. Other activities included Martial Arts Games, Crafts and Prize Games (such as Ninja-Ninja-Samurai).

Week 6 – Aug 9th – 13th

Young Entrepreneurs

We learned about the steps for running a business and created our own. In Martial Arts we learned more about our kicks and added Stranger-Stranger-911 to our Kick and Spin. This week lesson’s focused on J’s Bad Day, a Safety Tale. Other activities included Martial Arts Games, Crafts, Nature Walks and Prize Games (such as Eye Spy).

Week 7 – Aug 16th – 20th

MAMBEC Worldly Holiday Fun

We learned about a new Holiday everyday and themed our studio and activities for those Holidays. In Martial Arts we continued developing our kicks and began using pads for practice. Other activities included Martial Arts Games, Crafts, and Prize Games (such as Sensei Says).

 

Week 8 – Aug 23rd – 27th

Mambec Superheros

We learned about the steps for running a business and created our own. In Martial Arts we learned more about our kicks and added Stranger-Stranger-911 to our Kick and Spin. This week lesson’s focused on J’s Bad Day, a Safety Tale. Other activities included Martial Arts Games, Crafts, Nature Walks and Prize Games (such as Eye Spy).

Week 9 – Aug 29th – Sept 3rd
